It’s only Day #2 of the Nicaragua Mission Trip, but already the team has experienced a lot. The 2nd performance of Day 1 was done indoors for a large crowd of teens. The school was described as “rough” and the Nicaragua teens there were pretty rowdy and wild during the program. The team was not intimidated and instead “played” to the crowd (especially Chris and Caleb on their guitars – see video), which helped to win the crowd over.
Today our team set up on a street corner across from a bar they performed by last year in Sebaco. It was way too muddy to do any of the skits or dramas, but the team did an acoustic set on their guitars, Cami and Robert shared their testimonies, and Chad shared the gospel. It was a powerful time, and many people from the bar stood outside and listened. Several came forward to take tracts. A pastor from that area was able to speak to those who prayed to receive Christ.
Health report – so far so good!
The team was headed to do another program later this afternoon.
